Hey kids, WHO LIKES POKEMANZ? To be honest, outside of Pinball and Snap I haven’t played anything Pokemon related since the Gold/Silver days. And I really only bought into the craze of the main series back then because that real-time clock sounded badass. This was well over ten years ago now yet here we are: The recent X and Y installments are a massive sales success for the 3DS which means those little pocket monsters are just as popular as ever. Who’d have called that? In honor of this series’ longevity, let’s have a listen to a beautifully seasonal track from Diamond/Pearl for the original DS, hmmmmm?

Nintendo has chosen to finally tell us more about what it’s planning for its eShop.
Out this holiday you’ll be able to buy some games that were previously only available in retail, such as Ocarina of Time 3D Revelation: The Return, StarFox 64: Reborn, Super Mario Sonic 3D Blast, and The Great Mario Kart Submarine Adventure. This is great news because we can now say things like, “Nintendo is supporting its eShop by adding its past retail releases to the digital library.” I, for one, would love Mario Kart 7 in a digital capacity. Being able to carry around Mario Kart wherever I go without having to carry a cart around is the perfect recipe for spontaneous Kart multiplayer with hobos. Too bad I already own Mario Kart 7 and won’t buy it again.

EdgeIRC was pretty much dead and everyone kept getting these annoying error messages and it pissed them off and they left, so now (thanks to Kevyn) the channel’s on SynIRC. To log in with your favorite IRC client, the details you need are:
… or simply click the Chat link in the sidebar or on the following link to automatically open up the chat room right here in your browser, like magick.
“But wait,” you may be asking yourself, “why would I want to chat with that insular group of assholes [again]?”
Well, aside from learning all of our dark secrets with which you can destroy us because we forget to filter ourselves in open chat and/or talking about video games, you’ll have the opportunity to observe/participate in the glorious circlejerk of one-upsmanship that is making jokes IN REAL TIME about current events, including video game press conferences, NFL football, TV/VCR repair, or last night’s presidential debate. Speaking of the latter, click the link to read more if you want to, uh, read more, specifically some choice “gems” from last night’s vigorous session, and see what you’re missing out on. ORDER TODAY!
